About Me

Hello, my name is Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz. I'm a qualified Person-Centred counsellor with a genuine commitment to providing a compassionate and supportive space for those seeking a greater understanding of self, connection, and healing in their lives. Working with integrity, curiosity, and care, in a way that centres your experience and honours your individuality - meaningful change begins when we feel truly seen and heard.

I bring both professional training and personal insight to my work as a counsellor. From my own counselling journey, I understand how daunting - and sometimes painful, it can feel. I approach each person’s unique life journey with care, empathy, and deep a respect for what it means to be human.

I’ve had the honour of working with individuals through a wide range of lived experiences - and while the list is not exhaustive, it reflects the diversity and depth of the human experience:

  • Addiction and post-recovery
  • Anxiety, low self-worth and feeling overwhelmed
  • Chronic illnesses
  • Depression
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Low mood and lack of motivation
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Significant life changes such as relationship transitions, career shifts, and identity exploration
  • Trauma and emotional distress

I am a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and as part of my commitment to my client's wellbeing, I am continually engaged in ongoing professional development to expand my therapeutic knowledge and skills.

People are as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't think myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner". I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.
